Well, here he is. Hudson Fincher, in the flesh. We're getting settled in and into a routine thanks to Hudson's Grandmothers: Carolyn and Sherry. There will be decades more to come. Enjoy this collage for now.

There are 21 turtles beneath Yertle. Shannon still has a sore hand from the cramps from all the tracing, painting, and tracing. Well worth it.

I just wanted to take a moment to brag about my wife. I love her. She's beautiful, pretty, gorgeous, creative, funny, organized, ingenious, compassionate, sweet. I am so thankful for her friendship and for all the things that she does for me and our family. She's the coolest.

The salon is closed on Mondays, so Shannon drew and painted this afternoon while I was making sound come alive at Journey Fellowship. She's so awesome. Well, I just wanted to show you some of my other little friends and keep you updated on the flowering of the nursery.

So anyways, no nom de plume this post. Just me: Justin. I am proud of my wife. She's the best! Look at all she's created.

Welcome to Hudson's Room.

Here's the Cat in the Hat. Eventually he'll be tilting a real shelf with his umbrella while stuffed Things 1 and 2 hold on for dear life. Whimsically, of course.

This one takes it's inspiration from a trip that Shannon and I took to Sneetch Island (near the Falklands). I got the photo of the indigenous sneetches playing sneetch ball right as the one on the right, I call him "Steve", noticed us and they scattered. My cool wife painted this today as well.

Prior to World War II, Horton hatched an egg. You see here Horton's hatchling and the wisdom that he spoke. The crib will be centered underneath these letters.

Sneak peak at my little brother's room

Hey you. yeah, you. I wanted to show you something really cool before I go hop back in bed with my pets. The tall one has been up in my little brother's room all week. He was marking the walls with a really smelly goop. He's funny like that, I guess. I think they called it "painting the nursery". Oh well, I don't actually speak Human. Hey, they don't speak Dog. This is America, last time I checked!

Alright, I snuck in there to give you, my special friends, a sneak peek at my little brothers room (hence the title of this posting).

Pretty cool, huh? I got this photo while jumping up as to give it a 'taken by a human' feel. Very modern. The nursery looks just like a dog park. The rolling hills and blue sky almost make me feel like I'm outside. (It's okay everyone, I know what I'm supposed to do in the REAL outside and I only do it there now. I'm becoming a better doggy since I'll be a big brother soon.) Anyways, my crazy owners will continue to paint the nursery. They'll be adding pictures of Cats in Hats, Things (1 and 2), Horton, and other "Seussical" characters. I think it all sounds like gibberish, but what do I know. I'll try to keep you posted and don't let these pictures leak back to The Tall One or The Pretty One, or they'll take my cell phone away.

A Home for Hudson

Here we go. We're 20 weeks into this fantastic adventure and we're painting the sky in Hudson's Room. The white will become the land on which all of Hudson's Suessical Creatures will hail from.

Pierre supervising the renovations. He comes in handy should we run out of paint brushes.
